Hi everyone, Haley here and welcome to Rain Horse Training!
I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my passion with you and so thankful to everyone who helped make it possible for me to do so. I’ve been riding horses for over 20 years and have been training professionally for 8. In that time span I have seen my business, my clients and my skills grow by leaps and bounds! I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of horses; from donkeys, miniature horses, arabs and quarter horses to fjords, warm bloods, drafts and mustangs. I have had the opportunity to experiment with new disciplines of riding and learned many new skills from amazing horse people.
My specialty with horses is gentling and starting young horses, and lately most of the horses I have had the pleasure of working with have been born and lived in the wild. This has really given me a new respect and understanding of equines on a whole and has become my main focus in my training program. That being said, I also have a strong desire to help problem, abused and neglected horses. I feel these horses are wonderful teachers and each one brings new and unique challenges.
I use a multitude of styles in my training because I really want the horse to guide ME in the best way to help them learn. I do lean heavily on more classical concepts; working with the horse’s own nature to help them progress and learn. My goal is to help you and your horse form an enduring partnership that can last a lifetime. I would love to learn more about you and your equine and look forward to working with you to improve your skills.
